Hey all,

My name is Zoe and I'm a PhD student at Oxford University in the UK. I'm lucky enough to be doing my research on Gothic cultures in the UK, Japan and USA and I'm currently living in NYC to recruit participants and experience the scene for myself. I have been personally involved in UK goth culture for almost 10 years so I'm really keen to produce an account that will do it justice!

Participation would involve emailing me up to 20 photos of objects/places/people that are important to your identity as and/or participation in the goth scene, along with a brief description of why each shot was chosen. If you have the time (or the inclination!) it would be great to get together for an interview to discuss the images further.
